Solo exhibition at the International Grand Ball.

Lucy (my dance partner) and I performed at the International Grand Ball in San Francisco over the last weekend in July (25th).

We were scored pretty well (89.9, 94, 94), but were not picked to repeat the performance with the pros later in the evening. It was our first performance to an unfamiliar crowd, and you can see some of our nervousness there.

More stuff to work on…

  1. Hey Glenn!

Great video of you and Lucy at the IGB last year! I was doing an yahoo search on IGB solos and your website came up!
I performed a viennese waltz american smooth routine with Fredi on Sunday Morning at 9:30ish! It was really fun, pretty nerve racking but I really enjoyed it! We got called back for the evening program, but Fredi had to work unfortunately… :( but maybe next time!
What was it like for you to do the evening performance last year?

Hope you are having a good day,
let me know how it went for you in the 2009 IGB,

    Thanks,
    Caryn

    • Hi Caryn,

Ooh, you must have been really good – we were not called back for the evening :(
Did you get a video? Are you going to put it up?

      Glenn.

  2. Hi Glenn,

I did get a video made, it is really fun to see!
I will try to get it on Youtube in the next few days and let you know.
Are you and Lucy going to compete at the Pacific Grand Ball in Sept.?

    Caryn

  3. Hey Glenn,

I finally uploaded the video to Youtube! If you search “international grand ball solo viennese waltz” it should come up.

I hope you enjoy seeing it, I was pretty nervous and it was about 10:oo am, so it is a little bit shakey in some spots, but I think I did pretty well overall for my first time out:)

How is your dancing going? You and Lucy are perfect for each other! Will you be going to the Pacific Grand Ball in Sept?

    Talk to you soon
    Caryn
