Hail

I came down with a bad cold, and was all covered up in bed, reading, when I heard what sounded like pebbles on the roof and windows. I got up to look and saw hail.

Pretty amazing actually.


The hailstones were not very large – about 3-5mm in size, and they made a racket as they fell on the roof and the skylight and the window panes. The ground was cold enough that they didn’t melt right away. The concrete however was not that cold, and they melted away there.
